The Ferro’s Story –

Family owned & operated over 25 years.

It started in the late 70’s, when a young man parked a hot dog cart, in a gas station lot at 77^th & Kedzie. Several years later, in 1986, Tom opened the Original Ferro’s Hungry Hound located at 26^th & Princeton in Chicago. There he began specializing old family recipes, making each one Ferro’s own!!! We moved to our current location at 200 W. 31^st St. Chicago, in 1996, where the menu was expanded to include fantastic breakfasts & incredible Italian Lemonade. Ferro’s desire to serve quality food at a reasonable price has made us a regular stop for many people traveling to & from Chicago’s South Side.
